Face-off with the Cold Shut Doors

Thursday, December 19, 2019, 4:05 PM

Shut with a loud bang, right on your face
Closed doors forcefully shove you in a corner
Refusing human warmth and understanding.
The coldness of shut door closes in on the spirit
I watch with fearful sensitivity those hidden anger.
Showcased in bright red colors of hostility.
I figure that shut door is a loud denial, and
Stark discrimination by a cold empty heart.

People who pretend to be social for self-gain
Hardly recognize a shut door speaks volumes
Of what true value is placed for the relationship
I have seen and been bruised by many a shut door
My heart pains and hurts when they are shut
Impregnable coated in lip service camaraderie.

Revised Version

Face-off with the Cold Shut Doors

Shut with a loud bang, right on your face
Closed doors forcefully shove you in a corner
Refusing human warmth and understanding.
The coldness of shut door closes in on the spirit
I watch with fearful sensitivity those hidden anger.
Showcased in bright red colors of hostility.
The shut door is a loud denial to communication
That cold-shouldered being seeks human connections.

The need for ‘Me Time’ gives breathing space
For Relationship to right the angled perspectives
In those moments away from the heated arguments
The need to honor Me Times is appreciated
When there is an understanding that it is applicable
To both the parties and not a single road, Me Only!
